Degree Programs: MEPN - Master of Nursing Focal Areas

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2006 APPLICATIONS:

Effective for students entering in Summer 2007, the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) focal area is no longer accepting applications through MEPN or the MN programs. The Family Nurse Practitioner focal area is now only offered through the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Admission for all other MEPN and MN eligible focal areas remains the same.

MN focal areas available to MEPN students include:

Concurrent Degree Programs--These programs involve getting degrees from two different Schools at the University of Washington, the School of Nursing and the School of Public Health and Community Medicine (Department of Health Services). MEPN applicants must apply and be accepted to the School of Public Health and Community Medicine but will not be eligible to do so until after fully and successfully completing the first five (5) quarters of MEPN.
