In a continued effort to evaluate quality and improve results, the BSN Coordinating Committee
(BSNCC) is responsible for evaluation of the pre-RN portion of GEPN. BSNCC works in conjunction
with Academic Services (AS) to assess student competency upon entry into the program and at the end
of the first calendar year of the program; reviews program evaluation data annually, assessing outcomes
of students who complete the program against specific benchmarks;
and when indicated, appoints work groups to address areas of desired curricular change.
GEPN Evaluation Tools, designed to measure specific outcomes related to the
goals of the pre-RN licensure of the
program, are:
- End of First Summer Survey
- End of Year One Survey
A Program Evaluation Report is produced annually and is
used by BSNCC to modify and improve the pre-licensure portion of the program.
The graduate degree portion of GEPN is evaluated by the corresponding coordinating committee:
the MN/DNP Coordinating Committee (MNDNPCC) leads MN and
MS programs and DNP program evaluations. The MS/PHD
Coordinating Committee (MSPHDCC) leads the PhD program
evaluation. Unique tools and processes are utilized in the evaluation of each of these
graduate programs.
