It takes time to have paperwork processed, here are some timeframes for items that need to be completed during your course of study.
Setting up a Supervisory Committee - this takes approximately one quarter to find members and have the committee approved. Paperwork is submitted to the Associate Dean of Academic Services.
Program of Study approved by Supervisory Committee - Once a Supervisory Committee is formed this is the first duty, this MUST occur before General Examination. Petition for transfer credit from a previous degree will occur after the program of study is approved. Academic Services will petition the Graduate School on behalf of the student.
General Examination - Examination can not occur until a student will have a total of 60 credits(this includes transferred credits from previous masters degree) by the end of the quarter examination is scheduled. Request for examination must be submitted to the DNP Program Coordinator 3 weeks before the date of exam.
Capstone Project - Once a student has identified their project the student will need to contact Academic Services to verify that a contract is in place with that agency. 6 weeks is required to set up the contract.
Final Examination - Request for examination must be submitted to the DNP Program Coordinator 3 weeks before the date of exam. Final examination can not occur in the same quarter as the General Examination.
Before Graduation - A warrant verifying final examination is complete, a verification of degree form must be filled out and submitted, and a copy of materials resulting from the Capstone Project must be submitted to the DNP Program Coordinator.
