• Set up your UW medicine account:
  • Go to this web address: http://myuw.washington.edu/
  • On the MyFrontPage tab click on "Change Your UW Medicine Password" li nk located on the right hand side of the page near the top. Confirm your identity and then follow the instructions listed to establish your UW Medicine password.
  • If you were a previous student at HMC (Harborview Medical Center) or UWMC please reactivate your account via the MyUW page.  If you are an employee at either Hospital please inform the IT support staff at 206-543-7012.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Per the UW Medicine security policy, you cannot forward your UW e-mail address to and outside e-mail account; if you use e-mail forwarding, you will need to deactivate it for the duration of your rotation.

• Confirm that evidence of your completion of UW HIPAA training is on file. If you have not completed HIPAA training or an unsure if Academic Services has received a completion confirmation of your training, please search the HIPAA compliance database.
