• Sign the Harborview Security Agreement and return to your instructor on the first day of clinical.

• Attend a mandatory orientation session if this is your first rotation through Harborview. The clinical placement coordinator will contact you with date and time.

• Complete all the sections of the Required Education Content on the UW Medicine site:
  • Cultural Diversity (3 quizzes)
  • Compliance and Ethics (1 quiz)
  • Environment of Care (1 quiz)
  • Infection Control (2 quizzes)
  • Organization Improvement (1 quiz)
  • Pain Management for Student Nurses (2 quizzes)
  • Patient Safety (1 quiz)
  • Point of Care Testing (POCT)

NOTE: If you have previously been a student at HMC or are a UWMC/HMC employee, please contact Dora Wang and your clinical instructor. Determination will be made on a case-by-case basis for each student regarding the necessity of additional orientation.

• Obtain your CIS password before your first day of clinical - instructions.
