Holter Analysis
Located within the UW School of Nursing Computational Laboratory, and closely linked with the UW-SON Autonomic Nervous System Testing/Exercise Testing Laboratories, are facilities for support of collection and analysis of Holter ambulatory or laboratory ECG recorded in digital (typically stored on flash cards) or analog (typically stored on cassette tapes) recording formats.
The two primary Holter support workstations in the Computational Laboratory both run Burdick Vision Premier software (Cardiac Science/Quinton/Burdick, Bothell, WA 98021, http://www.cardiacscience.com/) , and are shared resources used by a number of active research projects.
The software supports analysis of individual ECG recordings ranging from about 15 minutes to 48 hours in length. Both of the Vision Premier workstations include the Burdick HRV analysis research option. The UW-SON Holter analysis laboratory has been in continuous operation since 1992.
