If you get an email telling you that you need to approve a grant online...

 

Start at this url: https://ucs.admin.washington.edu/sagenet/

 

Click on "Enter Sage" on the left margin.

 

You will be asked for your UW net ID and password (this is the same ID and password that you use for your email.)

 

When you are in sage click on "My Approvals" which is the bottom most link on the left margin.

 

Half way down on the page, you will see a list of grants waiting for approval. Just click on the button that says "approval" (To the left of 'Add Comment') to approve.

At this point a pop up window will appear, asking for the PI to agree to an assurance statement. This assurance statement replaces a PI's signature or assurance on the NIH forms.
