Barbara Cochrane, PhD, RN
Barbara Cochrane, PhD, RN, is a member of the FFRP scientific and management teams. She is a Co-Principal Investigator with the "Enhancing Connections" and "Helping Her Heal" studies. She has both scientific and operational responsibilities on the projects, focusing on the development and testing of the underlying science of the program, its coordination, and monitoring. Dr. Cochrane's research interests include midlife and older women's health; chronic illness (prevention and survivor issues), and intervention research methods. She has an Affiliate Assistant Professor appointment in Family and Child Nursing at the University of Washington and a primary appointment as a Senior Staff Scientist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where she is a Co-Investigator with the Women's Health Initiative Clinical Coordinating Center.
