How To Apply
To apply to the Certificate Program in Emergency Preparedness & Response. You may apply at any time throughout the year provided you hold an existing Master’s degree or are currently in a Master’s degree program in any health sciences school.

- Non-UW students should first apply for graduate study through the UW Graduate School. http://www.grad.washington.edu/
To apply to the Advanced Practice Environmental Health Nurse Certificate. You may apply at any time throughout the year provided you hold an existing masters degree or are currently in a Master’s degree program in the School of Nursing. In addition to meeting required minimum GCPAPN admission criteria, your application must be accompanied by a corresponding application to the UW Graduate School or previous UW Graduate School acceptance. To apply to the Advanced Practice Environmental Health Nurse Certificate program, refer to the Application and Program information.
- Existing UW School of Nursing students should apply directly to the Advanced Practice Environmental Health Nurse Specialist certificate program and complete an Application for Transfer to or Addition of Program or Focal Area form.
- UW Students from other schools should apply through the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice Nursing Application located on the School of Nursing website at http://www.son.washington.edu/admissions/certificates/application.asp
- Non-UW Students should apply through the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice Nursing Application located on the School of Nursing website at http://www.son.washington.edu/admissions/certificates/application.asp. They should also apply for graduate study through the UW Graduate School at https://www.grad.washington.edu/application/
