Sandy Eyres Faculty Appreciation Award

This award is presented each spring quarter. Staff members nominate faculty who they feel best exemplify outstanding interaction between staff and faculty. Staff may nominate any faculty member who demonstrates, with long-standing commitment, mature, professional, courteous, and respectful treatment of staff in the University of Washington School of Nursing.

Criteria & Process:

1. Nominations must be at least a paragraph or two describing why the faculty person is deserving of the award.
2. Must be substantive, specific and include examples that support the nomination.
3. May be submitted by letter to cmfox@u.washington.edu. Hard copies are preferred as they go to the nominees and the recipient.

Faculty members who are nominated by several staff may be chosen based on consistency of content with other nominations. For those nominees that receive one nomination, Staff Advisory Council will discuss and decide on whether the individual would be appropriate for this award in comparison to other nominations.

Nominations must be received by April 17, 2009. The award will be presented in the May Staff Advisory Council Meeting.
