Sandy Eyres Faculty Appreciation Award

This award is presented each Spring Quarter. Staff members nominate faculty who they feel best exemplify outstanding interaction between staff and faculty. Staff may nominate any faculty member who is felt to have demonstrated, with long-standing commitment, the mature, professional, courteous, and respectful treatment of staff in the University of Washington School of Nursing.

Criteria & Process:

1. Nominations must be at least a paragraph or two describing why the faculty person is deserving of the award.
2. Must be substantive, specific and include examples that support your nomination.
3. May be submitted by letter to cmfox@u.washington.edu. Hard copies are preferred as they go to the nominees and the recipient.

Recipients who are nominated by several staff may be chosen based on consistency of content with other nominations. For faculty who receive only one nomination, Staff Advisory Council discusses and decides on whether the individual would be appropriate for this award in comparison to other nominations.

Nominations must be received by April 17, 2009. The award will be presented in the May Staff Advisory Council Meeting.

If you have any questions on the award, submissions or any part of the process, feel free to contact Cyndie Fox, cmfox@u.washington.edu, 206-543-3110.

Thank you!
