Campaign for Nursing Excellence

"An investment in the next generation is the greatest legacy one can leave. Now more than ever, we need to prepare our young people with the skills to adapt to a rapidly changing health care arena, and foster their passion to improve the lives of people everywhere." - Peter and Sandra ('59 BSN) Dyer, Campaign Advisory Board honorary co-chairs

Improve the lives of people everywhere. That's what nurses do every day in our hospitals, neighborhood clinics, nursing homes and elsewhere. We can't imagine a world without nurses. But, nurses have become a precious national resource. A nursing shortage is nearing crisis levels. Increased technology and specialization demands better-educated nurses. To shape the future we want, and to address the most pressing nursing issues facing our communities, we've launched a $24 million Campaign for Nursing Excellence.

Why give? Because now, more than ever, the School needs private funds to continue to educate outstanding nurses, keep and attract world-class faculty, and conduct research and leads to healthier, fuller lives. Private dollars will maintain and enhance our nationally recognized programs by guaranteeing that the best and brightest minds contribute to our common mission. Campaign funds will support three main priorities: student scholarships and graduate fellowships, faculty professorships and chairs, and research programs.

Please join us and make a gift to the campaign. The beneficiaries will be our families, our friends, the community, our nation and the world.
