I am an American Nurses Association certified child and adolescent psychiatric mental health clinical specialist. My clinical expertise and research involve working with physically and mentally ill children and adolescents and their families. My methodological expertise is theory testing and instrument development. My recent research project is a family-centered, community-based self-management intervention for adolescents with symptoms of schizophrenia and their families. It is a five-year study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.
