Since 1982 she has adapted her knowledge and skills to serve the University community as Ombudsman for Sexual Harassment and since 1988 as University Ombudsman. Lois was named Ombud of the Year for 1998 by the California Caucus of College and University Ombuds. In serving the University community, Lois emphasizes prevention and education in conflict management and dispute resolution. Sexual harassment and perceived workplace mistreatment are her areas of research and writing. She retains an interest in ethnic/racial and under-served populations in psych/mental health service delivery.
