Dr. Belza's research area is in understanding the mechanisms, improving the measurement, and testing strategies to manage fatigue in adults and older adults with chronic conditions. She has been involved in developing, testing, and determining the cost effectiveness of enhancing physical activity and implementing exercise interventions to improve physical conditioning, enhance function, and reduce fatigue.
She mentors undergraduate and graduate students through teaching, academic advisement and chairing and/or serving on thesis and doctoral committees.
