| She has extensive knowledge and expertise in Maternal Child Nursing including infant, child and adolescent development and health, plus individual and family centered counseling. | |
| Dr. Magyary 's teaching, clinical and research interests include: (1) Infants, children and adolescents with special health care needs as defined by environmental, psychosocial, and/or biological risk & comorbidity factors, (2) Integrated pediatric service models that closely align community-based mental health with primary care, (3) Community-based participatory research and collaborative therapeutic approaches focused on infants, children & adolescents, and their families & communities, (4) Health disparity patterns and the study of clinical heterogeneity, (5) Clinical Outcome studies, research design and methodologies to examine differential treatment effects, individual differences and comparative effectiveness, and (6) Translational research with emphasis on translating scientific evidence to the real world of everyday clinical practice and the impact on service models and health outcomes. Recently, Dr. Magyary has engaged in community health and clinical research in Malawi, Africa. |
