I received my Master of Nursing degree from Emory University in 1991, from a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Since shortly after that time, I have been working as a PNP at Community Medical Care for Children at Mary Bridge (now called Mary Bridge Pediatrics at Tacoma). I have been providing primary health care to low income infants, children and teens and enjoy it very much. I especially enjoy the long-term relationships I am able to develop with patients and families, and appreciate opportunities to help families make positive changes related to the health of their children. In 2008, I started teaching in the PNP program at UW part-time, and continue to work as a primary care provider at Mary Bridge Pediatrics. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, kayaking, hiking, cooking, reading, or traveling.
