Betty Gallucci, PhD, RN, Professor, is a zoologist/immunologist. Her specialty is tumor biology and immune responses, particularly in women at high risk for breast cancer. She teaches didactic and clinical courses in tumor biology, genetics, immunology, basic health assessment and research methods, and is Project Director for the Advanced Practice Genetics Nursing Focus Area.
Her research projects concern oncology, lymphocyte activation and immune responses of women receiving counseling-education and exercise interventions. Her clinical focus is working with patients with melanoma receiving high dose interferon therapy.
