Teaching: Dr. Altman teaches clinical and theory courses in medical, surgical and obstetrical nursing.

Current Research Interests: Inflammatory and physiological changes in disorders of women and developing critically thinking in teaching nursing skills.

Areas of funded research: Inflammatory changes in uterine tissue in women with endometriosis and genetic variation in estrogen metabolism.
