Research: Dr. Thomas's research interests involve high-risk infants and include effects of the caregiving environment on infant outcomes, thermoregulation, development of sleep-wake pattern and biological rhythmicity.

Teaching: She has taught extensively in the undergraduate program and is also affiliated with the Home Care Training Grant and the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
