Degree Programs: BSN Curriculum

The BSN curriculum is designed as a four year (180 credit) program: two years of prerequisite course work in general studies prior to two years of professional course work within the nursing major. The final two years of course work are completed on the University of Washington Seattle campus and at clinical sites throughout the state.

Students need a minimum of 180 credits to graduate with a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. The required credits in the nursing curriculum total 87; thus 93 credits must be earned through general education, nursing prerequisite courses and elective courses.
