I am an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Washington in 2008.

Teaching and Advanced Practice:
Major teaching responsibilities include teaching in Primary care Nurse Practitioner core courses; seminar, and faculty clinical advising for the students in the Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Leadership and Practice Inquiry:
My practice interest areas include health behavior change, use of brief motivational interviewing in clinical practice, systems and population-based models of care for chronic disease self-management, and Community-Oriented Primary Care.
Interests:
Teaching interest areas include the use of Observed Structured Clinical Exams (OSCE’s) for competency evaluation within nurse practitioner education and the use of e-health tools and web-based learning modalities.
