The mission of the Department of Psychosocial & Community Health is to actively engage in research, practice, and the education of professional nurses to promote health and prevent disease through individual and community action. The Department focuses on diverse health experiences across race, class, gender and the life span to achieve social justice and access to health care for all, with the following emphases:
