At the end of the 1999 health report we asked you what we could do for you. Among other things, many of you suggested we create a web site or develop other ways of sharing information. This web site exists because you asked for it! The list on the previous page tells you what is here. If there are other topics or reminders you think would be helpful for yourself or others in the study, call your Research Associate at 543-4090 and let her know what to add.

We thought you'd want to know more about the process of doing this study, such as what we do with all those samples and diaries we get from you, as well as some of the things we've learned from this study.

As nurses, we know how important it is for people, especially midlife women entering a new phase of life and possibly confronting new health care issues and decisions, to feel comfortable working with their health care provider.

The About Menopause section fills you in on how some other researchers define menopause. The Definitions section shows you how we define menopause, based on information collected from you in this study. While you're in the About Menopause section, try out some interactive health knowledge quizzes and take your new knowledge to your next health care visit.

The Further Resources section was developed to simplify your search for more information on women's and midlife health issues. Almost all the books reviewed in that section are available in local libraries. The links to other health-related web sites are organized by category. If you don't find what you want, use search engines to refine your search. Let us know if you find new sites we should add to our list.

Evaluating Web Resources was included to help you decide if a site is giving you reputable information. For those who like newsletters, there is information about some our director particularly likes.

Have fun with your web site and let us know how you like it!
