Holidays

Eligible employees receive 10 paid holidays plus 1 personal holiday each calendar year. Click here to see the UW’s Holiday Calendar for the complete holiday schedule.

Employees are eligible for holiday pay if they are in pay status the work day before and the work day after a holiday. If the employee is on leave without pay on the day preceding a holiday or after a holiday, the holiday is not paid.

Holidays are paid at a rate equivalent to the FTE in effect at the time (e.g. 100% FTE = 8 hrs., 75% FTE = 6 hrs., 50% FTE = 4 hrs.).
