Checkout Procedures
BNHS has two department laptops and projectors which are available for check out for faculty and staff presentations or classes. You can reserve one of the laptops, projectors or both by making a reservation in the notebook marked BNHS Multimedia that is located on the shelf up and to the left of the A/V cabinet in T603.
Students can reserve laptops and projectors from Classroom Services by calling 543-6729 or sending an e-mail to hsbav@u.washington.edu.
How to setup LCD Projector to Laptop?
- Locate the LCD Projector in the appropriate location.

Get a VGA cable and connects from the LCD Projector to the Laptop or vice verse. The cable picture as shown below: -
- Attach VGA cable from the laptop (monitor out) to the LCD Projector (RGB In) or vice verse.

- Turn on the power
button on the LCD Projector. A blue screen will project on the board. (Note: If the Laptop is turned on before projector is connected and powered up, the computer may not recognize and activate the external display.)
- Adjust your screen display area on board based on your preference.
- Now, you can turn on your Laptop and you can see the external display on board. If you can not see a projected image on the screen you can press the function (fn located at the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard) key and F8 at the same time. You can choose to have the image displayed on the screen only or both the laptop and the screen by pushing the fn key and F8 (at the same time) once for the screen only and twice for both the laptop and the screen.
How Turn off the LCD Projector?
- Press the red button twice on the LCD Projector.
- Wait for 2 – 3 minutes while the power turning off.
- A red light shows that the power off and you are safe to unplug the cables.
- Please be sure to unscrew the blue cable from the back of the monitor and the projector, pulling the cable free can damage the connection.
