Travel and PI Awards

Travel

Each faculty member in BNHS gets an annual travel allocation of $500. The funds can be carried over one year if not used. Matt Eng is the contact person for getting reimbursed. Travelers are responsible for knowing and following UW travel procedures, available at (insert travel site).

PI Awards

Faculty members who are PIs sometimes receive an allocation of department funds, and these are called PI awards. PIs need to use these funds in the biennium they were awarded. PIs can either be reimbursed for spending or arrange to charge items to the dept budget from their allocation. Victoria Harrell is the contact person for using these funds.

Start-Up Funds

These are sometimes awarded to new faculty members, and these funds are also allocations of department funds.  These funds are generally used by the end of the biennium after the person started at the UW.  The individual faculty member is responsible for coordinating use of these funds with Crystal Welliver or Victoria Harrell.
