Gifts

Faculty can receive funding in the form of gifts from a variety of sources.  (industry, foundations, individuals, other organizations)  Gifts can supplement other extramural funding or be the sole source of funds for a project.

There are specific characteristics and conditions that determine if money will be handled as a gift at the University of Washington.  See Grants Information Memorandum 34:  http://www.washington.edu/research/osp/gim/gim34.html

If you are in contact with a potential donor, or have been offered funding that appears to be a gift, contact the department administrator for instructions about processing the funds. If you have received a check, bring the check and any correspondence relating to that gift to the administrator or to the School of Nursing Development Office.

If you want to donate money towards your project or others, contact  the administrator or to the School of Nursing Development Office.
