Edit course settings

You don't need to worry about most of the course settings, but there are a few options you may want to change at certain times.

To edit course settings, click Settings in the Administration block on the lower left side of the course homepage. You may then want to change:

  1. Format: Default is "Weekly format - CSS/No tables". You may want to switch to "Topics format" if the course does not meet weekly.
  2. Number of weeks/topics: Default is 10.
  3. Course start date: You should set this to the first Sunday of the week the quarter starts if you are using a weekly format.
  4. If you want to allow students to self-enroll, make the following settings:
    1. Course enrollable: Set to yes.
    2. Enrollment key: provide a short enrollment "password" that you will give to your students to access the course.
  5. Availability: Default is "not available". Change to "This course is available to students" when you are ready for the students to see the site. Don't forget to also notify TIER so the web address can get on the SON web site.
