Create a link to a file 

You can upload any type of electronic file to Moodle and have the files linked to your course page. Please make sure that your students can access the files with the appropriate software on their computers.
- To start editing, click the
button.. - Click Add a resource... and select Add Link to File or Web Site from the course section where you want to add the link to the file.
- On the Adding a new resource page, enter a file a name and a short summary.
- Click the Choose or upload a file button. A new window will pop up with the Moodle files directory structure.
- Find the file you want to add in the files area. You can also upload a new file here if you'd like.
- To upload a new file, you click Upload a file and Browse to select the file. Then, you click Upload this file.
- On the right side of the Moodle files list, you will see a Choose link in bold. Click that link. The Files window will close, and the path to the file will be entered into the file name.
- In Window menu, select same window.
- The name of the file resource will now be an active link in the course section.
- Save.
