- What is Moodle?
Moodle is a learning management system (LMS), suitable for creating course web sites. It has integrated features commonly used to support courses and for eLearning applications, such as discussion boards, calendar, assignment collection, quizzes, grading, and more.

- How can I find my course web site in Moodle?
Log in to Moodle with your UW NetID and password. You should see your course near the top of the home page in Moodle, if your course is properly set up in the UW time schedule. All the courses that you are assigned to teach according to the time schedule are listed automatically. Contact TIER if you have trouble locating your course page.

- How do I edit existing web pages?
Click on the page you want to edit, then click on the "Update this Resource" in the upper left. Use the embedded web editor to change the text.

- How do I edit MS Office documents in Moodle?
Any Office document that you upload and publish through Moodle can be downloaded again by clicking on the link to it and saving it to your computer. You can then make any changes and save, but you must remember to re-upload the document back into Moodle when you want to publish it. You can do this by following the same procedure for linking and publishing a new file, and then delete the old link.

- How do I delete a link?
To delete a link to any resource or activity, go to the course homepage and click the
button. Find the link or item you want to delete and click on the "X" icon. Remember that this will not only delete the link but also the entire item. If you just want to make that item temporarily unavailable, click the "eyeball" icon to hide it from student view. If you want to move the item somewhere else, click the arrow buttons.

- How do I work on my Moodle course web site from off campus?
You can log in to Moodle from any internet-connected computer. Type moodle.washington.edu into your browser and press enter, then log in with your UW NetID and password. Moodle works best with Internet Explorer.
