Teach-In Video Streamed Presentations

UW, School of Nursing, Seattle, WA
CAHDR sponsored a Teach-In that was held on April 30, 2003, in honor of minority health month. Seattle Councilwoman Margaret Pageler was the Keynote Speaker with several UW faculty and students as presenters. The event raised awareness through short presentations and discussions.

The topics covered included Reproductive Health Information Needs of a Group of Latina Immigrant Women, Challenges in Asian American parenting, Participatory Action Research in American Indian Tribes in the Pacific Northwest, and Recruitment of Native American Youth into Nursing. Event organizers were Sheela Choppala and Laura Mason.
