Directions for accessing the chat room or conference on the Making
Connections Website:
Please read all directions first before you go to the chat and conference
rooms. If you forget these instructions you can come back to these
instructions anytime by clicking the back button until you reach this
page.
1. Click on the sentence below that says Making Connections Chat and Conference
Rooms
2. If you haven't been to the chat or conference room before, click on
new user - make sure you write down your login in name and password
because if you forget it you will have to be a new user the next time and
create a new login name and password! If
you have been to these rooms previously, just login. If you are a new
user, fill in the user information. Don't leave any spaces in your login
name or password.
3. Now you will find yourself in the conference room - you can stay here
for a while and leave or respond to messages by clicking on the messages
listed in this column(there are two messages there now - "Using the Chat
and Conference Rooms" and "Making Connections Ongoing Discussion") or you
can go directly to the chat room by clicking on the word "chat" above the
word conferences. Once you have clicked on the word chat, a screen on the
right hand side will come up that says "Available Chat Rooms" - click on
the line that says "Welcome to Making Connections" - you are in!
If you need any help in either the Chat or Conference Rooms, click on the help button
and a list of choices will come up. If you need chat room help, click on
"Entering Chat Room" or "Using Conference Room Chat" - If you need
Conference room help go to "Understanding Conference and Messages"
Enter the Making Connections Chat and Conference Rooms.
