This specialty area within the Master of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs
prepares primary care pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs) to provide advanced practice
nursing care to patients from birth to young adulthood. Completion of this program allows
graduates to take national certification exams as a primary care PNP and apply for state licensure.
The UW School of Nursing’s PNP graduate program is highly ranked in the nation by U.S.
News and World Report, and is the only PNP program in the WWAMI region
