The PhD in Nursing Science program is a research-based degree that trains students to create knowledge
that will influence and alter the health of individuals, groups, and populations, using current theories
of nursing science.
As a PhD student, you will work closely with faculty to create your own research-based program of
study. These programs of study are based on your research interests as they intersect with the current
research interests of School of Nursing faculty.
The PhD in Nursing Science program also offers an optional Concentration in Statistics in partnership with
the Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences.
