You are encouraged to attend any of our UW School of Nursing information sessions held at the Magnuson Health Sciences Center on the Seattle campus. Sessions are held for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Graduate Entry Program in Nursing. Learn tips for submitting a competitive application!

Please double-check this website prior to coming to an info session to be sure it has not been cancelled. Cancellation is rare but does happen on occasion.


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
With the exception of the 3 months prior to the January 15 application deadline BSN information sessions will now be held once per quarter. Applicants are encouraged to listen to or download our online BSN information session.

Graduate Entry Program in Nursing (GEPN)
GEPN information sessions are held once a quarter on the first Wednesday of the month, with extra monthly sessions in the months prior to the application deadline (October 15). Two sessions are held each day: a morning session at 12 noon and an evening session at 6pm. Applicants are encouraged to listen to or download our online GEPN information session.

Information sessions for the MN and the DNP programs are combined into one session. Applicants are encouraged to listen to or download our online DNP information session.

Master of Science in Nursing (MS) / Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science
The School of Nursing does not hold information sessions for the Master of Science (MS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD) programs.

However, we encourage applicants to these programs to attend one of our Graduate Application Coaching & Advising Sessions to learn how to submit the most competitive application possible.

Bothell & Tacoma Campuses: BSN Completion Program for RNs & MN Program
Both the UW Bothell (UWB) and UW Tacoma (UWT) campuses offer a BSN Completion Program for RNs, and UW Tacoma also offers an MN program.

UWB offers nursing advising during weekly advising sessions done in Student Affairs. UW Bothell Information Sessions for all programs are every Wednesday, 12:00pm and 5:30pm. Call 425-352-5000 or visit the UW Bothell website for directions and program information.

UWT monthly Information Sessions are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 12:30pm and 6:00pm. The Resource Table opens 1/2 hour before. Optional campus tours are at 1:35pm and 7:05pm following the Information Sessions. The nursing program contacts are Dannah Madden, RN to BSN Coordinator, and Ginger Hill, Graduate Advisor. Interested students can always contact the campus at 253-692-4400 for information or visit the UW Tacoma website for program information, directions and additional outreach programs.
