GEPN Application Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Application to GEPN

  • minimum college-level cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
  • minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last 90 graded quarter credits
  • completion of a baccalaureate degree before GEPN enrollment begins
  • completion of a minimum of 3 of the required Natural World prerequisites (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition) AND enrollment in a 4th one at time of application. Minimum grade in each course of 3.0 required. The following also applies:
    • all required prerequisite courses (Lifespan Growth and Development and Statistics in addition to Natural World prerequisites) must be completed prior to enrollment with a minimum grade of 3.0 in each course
  • 100 hours volunteer or paid healthcare experience in one setting for a minimum of 3 months highly recommended
  • meeting Essential Behaviors for undergraduate students
  • meeting Essential Behaviors for graduate students
  • if applicable, adequate TOEFL/TSE scores


Required Application Materials

  1. GEPN application instructions
  2. Online GEPN application, including:
  3. resume
  4. three (3) letters of recommendation
  5. responses to admissions questions
  6. scholarly writing sample (DNP and PhD only)
  7. completed Conviction/Criminal History and Authorization for Repeat Background Checks and Dissemination of Results Form.
  8. official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended
  9. copies of English competency scores (if applicable)
After our initial application review you may be asked to attend a group interview with the GEPN Admissions Committee, as well as a separate interview with the focal/specialty area(s) you have applied to.
