Clinical Informatics and Patient-Centered Technologies in Practice

Graduates of the CIPCT program can expect to find themselves working in one of many fields at many different levels.

Graduates will be well prepared to work for a large organization, managing projects from planning through implementation. You might find yourself working as a clinical informatics consultant, advising caregivers – and patients – on appropriate use of technology and how to effectively bring that technology into their treatment plan. Others might work for a vendor, providing valuable insight on integrating a product with the demands of the health care system.

In any case, a graduate of CIPCT will be trained to integrate health care systems and the new technologies available.

Certifications
Graduates of the CIPCT program are eligible to apply for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation through the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
