Prospective Students

This Graduate Certificate Program in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners offers an opportunity for nurses who have a post-master's degree to develop the knowledge and skills to broaden and deepen their psychiatric mental health and/or nurse practitioner competencies for PMHNP practice. Individualized plans of study supplement prior coursework and prepare students for the American Nurses Credentialing Center family or adult PMHNP exam.

In addition to satisfying minimum GCPAPN admission criteria, applicants to the Graduate Certificate Program in Advanced Practice Nursing for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is available to any nurse who already has a post-master's degree and is particularly relevant to:

  • advanced practice nurses with practice and educational background in psychiatric nursing who wish to become Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners
  • and/or
  • Adult Nurse Practitioners or Family Nurse Practitioners who wish to prepare for a second certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
