Advising for Prospective BSN Students

All prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend or listen to a BSN information session. The information sessions provide you with a basic overview of the program, information regarding prerequisites, and detailed admission criteria. The sessions are not intended to give you individual advising or review of your application materials.

UW Students
Your advising center is Undergraduate Advising in Mary Gates Hall. Please schedule an appointment with a pre-nursing advisor to discuss course scheduling and questions about our nursing program. The Undergraduate Advising Center also offers information sessions about the nursing program.

Transfer Students
As a transfer applicant, you have several resources available to you to help answer any questions you have about the program and how to prepare for entering the School of Nursing:

In addition, Washington State community college students should work with advisors in your Transfer Center to prepare yourself for the nursing program. You can check on transferability of your credits by referring to the Course Equivalencies for Washington Community Colleges.

4-year college or university and out-of-state students should work closely with an advisor at your school.
