The adult CNS assumes a blended role as expert clinician, consultant, educator,
researcher, and/or administrator for a focused patient population in a variety of settings
across the spectrum of health and illness. The practice usually occurs within an agency
setting such as a hospital or clinic.
Graduates (both of the MN and DNP) Adult CNS programs are able to select coursework and
clinical experiences which make them eligible to apply for certification through ANCC,
AACN, and ONCC.
