David Allen Honored with Distinguished Teaching Award

David Allen, Professor of Psychosocial and Community Health in the School of Nursing, received a University of Washington 2004 Distinguished Teaching Award. The award was given to faculty who show "a mastery of their subject matter, intellectual rigor and a passion for teaching."

The Distinguished Teaching Award may be awarded to a faculty member only once in his/her lifetime.

The award winners were honored at a special university-wide Recognition Ceremony, schedule for 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, in Meany Hall. University Week published a special awards supplement profiling Allen and all the other award winners on June 3.
