New Soule Professor Announced
Professor Fran Lewis from the Department of Family and Child Nursing has been designated as a second Elizabeth Sterling Soule Distinguished Professor of Nursing and Health Promotion. Named after the founding dean of the University of Washington School of Nursing, the Soule endowed professorship was established through the generosity of faculty, alumni, and friends of the school, and has been allowed to continue and increase in value because of new gifts to the fund. The endowment supports and gives greater visibility to outstanding research by nursing faculty. The appointment of Dr. Lewis, a Professor in the Department of Family and Child Nursing, will continue for five years and is renewable at that time.
