School Facts: Partnerships - ERA Care

Mission
ERA Care is a leader dedicated to providing innovative housing, program, and service choices for older adults.
The ERA Care team collaborates with residents and families, affinity groups, and the University of Washington School of Nursing to continuously enhance the lives of those we serve through a unique marriage of hospitality, health care, and life-long learning and growth.
Philosophy
ERA Care Communities bring together the best in residential design, hospitality, and health promotion to create enriching communities that optimize quality of life for older adults. Building such communities is a collaborative process among developer, health care professionals, program designers, potential residents, and neighbors. The approach is resident-centered and opinions are solicited and preferences considered in all phases of the development process. Open communication, teamwork, mutual respect, recognition, and continuous improvement are essential elements of our relationships.
A Brief Overview of ERA Care Communities
ERA Care Communities, founded by Eli and Rebecca Almo in 1976, is a privately owned company bringing together the best in residential design, hospitality and health promotion. ERA Care is a developer, owner, and operator of five retirement communities in the Puget Sound area: Ida Culver House Broadview, Ida Culver House Ravenna, The Meydenbauer, The Lakeshore, and University House at Wallingford. ERA Care emphasizes quality housing and services, health promotion and life-long learning, providing apartments and homes with a variety of services, social and educational activities, and fitness and health programs. ERA Care Communities offer many amenities, including fine dining, weekly housekeeping and linen service, group transportation, common areas, and 24 hour security staff. ERA Care is in partnership with the University of Washington School of Nursing to design and manage all health programs. Our communities each have a unique personality and character and we are able to offer a variety of housing and care options under the umbrella of ERA Care Communities.
