The SoN Diversity Awareness Group (DAwGs), along with UWMC, is holding its first annual Nurse Camp!  Over 50 high schoolers applied for the 18 spots available.  Nurse Camp is a day camp from July 20-24.  It is geared toward providing low income and underrepresented high school sophomores and juniors an opportunity to learn about the profession of nursing.  Students will be attending sessions at the SoN and will tour various facilities and meet with nurses at UWMC.  Despite funding difficulties, DAwGs has managed to raise funds to run this camp, thanks to the many generous donations of SoN faculty, students, staff, and community members and organizations.  For information about volunteering or participating, contact Carolyn Chow at egg@u.washington.edu.
